When you support the Sonoma County Museum, you invest in your community’s cultural heritage. As a private non-profit organization, our museum strives to serve all who live in and visit California’s North Coast region with diverse educational programming and dynamic, changing exhibitions and collections.

Here are a few ways you can become a supporter of the Sonoma County Museum.

1. Support the Sonoma County Museum

Contribute to the Museum and make a positive impact on the cultural offerings available through the Museum’s exhibitions, educational programming, and collections accessibility initiatives.

2. Make a gift to honor or remember someone special

Make a memorial or tribute donation to a living or deceased family member or friend. For $1,000 or more, you can recognize someone publically on the Museum’s Donor Honor Roll listing.

 

3.Transfer from your IRA

Are you looking for an easy way to make a gift to the Sonoma County Museum without dipping into your checking or savings account?  If you are over 70 1/2, you can transfer up to $100,000 from your IRA to the museum in 2011 without paying any federal income tax. Your gift can be made simply by notifying your IRA plan custodian of your intent to make a current transfer to the Sonoma County Museum.
