Atrium
The Museum’s elegant Atrium was designed by Samuel Knox Taylor (known as the national architect in 1908) as the grand entrance to Santa Rosa’s main post office. With engaged columns, tall windows, oak molding, and a marble terrazzo floor, this elegant space opens onto the Museum’s main exhibit galleries.
Every rental of the atrium will include use of the Museum’s new Sculpture Garden. The Sculpture Garden opened in June 2011 with regional plants and grasses. Throughout the garden are sculptures by prominent regional artists including Ned Kahn, Bruce Johnson, Edwin Hamilton, Pat Lenz, Roger Berry, and Carrol Barnes, as well as a sound installation by Hugh Livingston.
