John LeBaron Photographs features a selection of black and white silver gelatin prints from the well-known Santa Rosa documentary photographer John LeBaron. The images recently appeared on display at the Bodega Landmark Studio in Bodega. Many of the photographs depict Sonoma County landscapes and people. LeBaron grew up in Valley Ford in Western Sonoma County, graduating from Tomales High School in 1946 and Santa Rosa Junior College two years later. He started work at the Press Democrat in 1948 as a copy boy, and when he left 20 years later, he was the pape’s chief photographer. He taught full time in the Santa Rosa Junior College Art Department for 22 years and retired in 1977.
