Join us on this tour for Friends of Sonoma County Museum, inspired by the 200th anniversary of the founding of Fort Ross on the Sonoma Coast. From this easternmost, and furthest, outpost of the Russian Empire, we'll go to the heart of power, magnificent St. Petersburg, as well as nearby Tallinn and Helsinki, all rich in the arts and culture of the Tsarist period. The Museum's exhibition of this historic connection celebrates the artistic, social and political trends of Tsarist Russia. We will personally celebrate with visits in each city to major museums and concert halls, and return home with a heightened appreciation of the enormous drive and talent that brought Russia to our shores two centuries ago.
